Beach and water sports

Camps Bay and neighbouring Clifton beaches for sunbathing, and watching the fashionable crowd. There are many beaches within easy driving distance, from challenging surf at Kommetje to protected pools at Kalk Bay. Penguins and bathers swim together at Boulder Beach.

Deep sea game fishing, spear and surf fishing and scuba diving are available. Boat charters and sunset cruises leave from the Waterfront area - take a water taxi connection to the wharf.

Golf

There are at least 22 clubs in and around Cape Town. Many have spectacular sea and mountain views, and welcome non-members. If you wish to contact a course direct to book, we can provide telephone numbers on request.

Walking and Hiking

You can walk out of the villa on to the mountain paths. Numerous trails on the mountains, in the nature reserves and Kirstenbosch offer a variety of walks from gentle stroll to stiff hill climb. For plant, bird, insect enthusiasts the opportunities are fantastic. Bring binoculars and cameras

Shopping

With favourable exchange rates for Northern Hemisphere visitors, Cape Town offers a fantastic shopping experience. Wander the huge Century City complex, especially for clothing, and excellent African decorative pieces. Browse the arts, crafts and bric-a-brac in Greenmarket Square, and the antique stalls, and African markets around Long and Church Street in central Cape Town. And don't miss the world famous V & A Waterfront complex at the harbour.

Wine Tours

The winelands around Stellenbosch, Franschoek and Paarl are within easy driving distance from Camps Bay. Many estates have wine tasting, and excellent food is available in restaurants throughout the area. For more advice and information, enquire when booking, and we can provide suggestions, and contact numbers/websites. If you plan some serious wine tasting, and prefer not to drive, travel the area by coach or train.

This is available over the Winelands area, where the views are magnificent.

Finally

The kitchen is well equipped and the supermarket nearby, but if you tire of restaurants and home cooking, we can help you arrange outside catering for drinks and dinner parties (minimum 8 for dinner ) by one of Cape Town's premier caterers.
